Objective of the position
- Ensuring best-in-class operational HR service across all aspects of the employee lifecycle in our German offices
- Consulting and providing expertise in all areas of HUMAN RESOURCES to deliver a proactive, consistent and efficient approach in line with our global operating model
- Leadership and management of a trusting cooperation with the works council, including participation in the meetings with the works council on site
Main
- Independent and proactive advice and support of (international) managers and German employees for a defined business area in personnel-sensitive issues, taking into account the jurisdiction, the applicable company agreements and global guidelines
- Collaborate with global business stakeholders and global HR teams in the design and local implementation of strategic initiatives as well as global HR initiatives to ensure both business and employment law requirements and respect best practices
- Management of complex employee relations issues or change management initiatives including conducting negotiations, advising on legal matters and representing Colt before labour courts
- Consulting, communication and training of (international) executives in relation to HR operational processes including performance and talent management, annual salary and performance reviews, performance improvement plans and disciplinary measures
- Management of all aspects of absences and holiday entitlements as well as conducting company integration management discussions as well as the discussions on returning to work
- Support of the local training program and other early career initiatives locally
- Preparation and processing of employment contracts and employment references.
- Ensuring the up-to-dateness of HR systems and their data, as well as the transfer of data to payroll
- Implement and support audit measures
Specific requirements
Education & Experience
- Excellent knowledge of cooperation with German works councils
- Professional experience in HR required
- Comprehensive up-to-date employment law knowledge and HR best practices
- Very good German and English skills in spoken and written
- Enjoy working together in an international team
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
- Strong customer and service orientation in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Enjoyment of independent work, both in the operational HR area and in the implementation of company-wide HR strategies
- Reliable, resilient, responsive, diplomatic and confident in dealing with demanding managers or stakeholders
- Fast comprehension skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to deal with conflicting priorities with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines and deal with pressure

- Completion of a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree (HR, psychology or similar) or relevant vocational training
